Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) announced that Lim Il-jin, a professor of performing arts at Incheon National University, won the Stage Arts Award at the 61st Dong-A Theater Awards announced on the 23rd of this month.
The Dong-A Theater Award Judgment Committee (Chairman Kim Ok-ran) conducted a final screening of 29 recommended judges in the main trial, and selected and announced the winners of nine categories, including best picture, best director, and best acting, except for those who did not win any awards.
Lim Il-jin, a performing arts professor at Incheon National University who won the Stage Arts Award, was praised for showing bold attempts to specify the aesthetics of the work through the stage art of the National Theater Company "Active Volcano." Professor Lim said, "I will continue to think about how to contribute to the stage art to be recognized as an independent art."
